Covid19 - How we're doing things differently
We've been quite overwhelmed with the new world order and, like all of you, we are making adjustments to both our home lives and to how things run at Tolly McRae.
Are we open?
We are taking orders, however, the mill we work with has shut down in order to protect its staff. This means that we have a certain amount of stock on hand but things will slow down in the coming days and weeks and certain items of stock won't be available.
Are we following guidelines?
Helen & I are sticklers for rules and we're observing the new directive. We've been staying away from each other for some time and we're bolted down in our own family units.
We always choose to support local so we typically dispatch all your orders daily via our village post office. However, at this time we have cut down dispatches to only coincide with going out to get essential food provisions, about once a week.
We have established a contactless drop system with our post office, so no one gets close to anyone when the drop is made.
This means that it will take a little longer than usual for you to receive your parcel.
We have removed faster and next day delivery and adjusted the time on standard delivery accordingly. If we anticipate any delay beyond this we will be in touch.
We are obsessive cleaners at the best of times so at the moment we've gone into cleaning frenzy mode! Hands are washed numerous times a day and all packing surfaces are disinfected regularly. There is a full clean down before any any of your parcels are packed.
If your order is a gift, drop us a note and we'll send it directly to the recipient. We are happy to add a personal note too, that way, you needn't go out either.
We have withdrawn our personalisation service for the time being as that requires us to make contact with a 3rd party embroidery specialist.
Now more than ever, your support really makes a difference so a huge thank you for shopping with us. We hope you are all keeping well and managing to adjust at this difficult time.
