Sustainability Matters - Why we only make blankets and throws that are 100% natural

When we created Tolly McRae we wanted to produce really great quality products for the home and we soon realised we could do this and be eco friendly too. We are based in the Cotswolds and we're all about laid-back living, the outdoors and rural life so our vision was to make luxury blankets, throws, picnic rugs and home linens for lazy days lounging in the country and cosy nights curled up by the fire.

Helen and I set out to make products that would last a lifetime and we only sell blankets, throws, towels and linens that are made from 100% natural fibres. It's really important to us that we stick by our values, work with like minded companies and make products that we’re proud of. 🌳🐑 

This is more important than ever now because we don't want to contribute to the mountains of waste textiles created by fast fashion and cheap homeware. There’s loads of profit to be had working like this but we don’t want to be part of it! So, we will never make quick fix, cheap and cheerful goods that will be tossed aside after a year. We hope every Tolly McRae item will be used in homes for decades and if it is eventually disposed of, you can be assured that it won’t impact the environment in the way that man-made fabrics like acrylic and polyester do.  ☺️🌱🌎
